Don't create a second listing.

If your business is already in CanFirewood, claiming is the correct path. A duplicate profile can split information and make it harder for customers to know which listing is current.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR LISTING

From search to ownership in six steps.

Start from the public business listing. The claim action takes you into the ownership request connected to that specific profile.

1

Search CanFirewood

Go to Find Firewood and search for your business name, municipality or service area.

2

Open your existing listing

Make sure the profile is actually your business before you continue.

3

Click “Claim Listing”

Use the Claim Listing action on the business profile to begin the ownership request.

4

Sign in or create an account

Your claim needs to be tied to a CanFirewood supplier account.

5

Submit your claim request

Complete the information requested in the claim process and send it for review.

6

Wait for approval

CanFirewood reviews the claim. You’ll receive status updates as it moves through the process.

BE READY TO VERIFY

Help us connect the right owner to the right business.

Claiming a listing changes who can manage a business profile, so the request should contain information that helps confirm you’re connected to that business.

Business email

An email address connected to the business can help establish that you’re authorized to manage the listing.

Business website

Make sure the website and contact details shown in the listing match your business where possible.

Phone & contact details

Use accurate contact information that can reasonably be associated with the business.

Your relationship to the business

Be prepared to identify yourself as the owner or an authorized representative.

AFTER YOU SUBMIT

Track the claim from your account.

Your supplier dashboard is where you’ll return to monitor the claim and manage the listing after approval.

Your request has been submitted and is waiting for review.
Approved
The listing is connected to your account and you become responsible for managing it.
Keep it accurate
Review your phone, website, service area, species and other listing information after approval.
